How to play Yukon Solitaire
Open Yukon Solitaire, check the instructions and begin a round. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use the example below to understand a decision. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
A careful first round
Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Make the next step deliberately.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.
Step by step
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.
A useful example
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Choose a deliberate next step.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
